Engineers Create Chocolate Bar Moulds

Yr 10 engineers

Miss Goodman's Year 10 engineers have been doing some theory knowledge for their exam through practicals and had a fun lesson learning about moulds and jigs. They learnt about polymer forming processes and vacuum formed their own chocolate bar mould they had created out of food grade PVC. It was only fair for us then to give them a good wash and try them out! The lesson also touched on scales of production and pupils went away with their moulds to make as many batches of their own chocolate bar design as they would like. The first one not surprisingly didn't last very long!
