In November 51 Year 13 students attended  the UK University & Apprenticeship Search Fair at Leicester King Power Stadium to help them make the right higher education and career choices . The students attended seminars and visited stalls representing universities, colleges, businesses and other providers, in the two large exhibition halls. Students had the opportunity to speak to the exhibitors about their options and applications.

Year 13 have been busy attending open days for prospective universities and researching apprenticeship routes to help make firm decisions on their university choices. With their personal statement completed and their five university choices made, students are now working towards the December deadline during this very busy and exciting time. The Leicester trip helped students to get some individual advice, speak directly to students about university life and explore new options.

Feedback from students was very positive, with one saying: “I didn’t know that the types of courses that I’m interested were available at different universities. It was really good to actually talk to course leaders and students who attend the university to find out more.”
