St Paul’s Catholic School is delighted to report some outstanding achievements by its students in their GCSE qualifications this summer.

Jo-Anne Hoarty, Headteacher at St Paul’s Catholic School, said:  “We were very happy to welcome Year 11 students to receive their GCSE results.  The grades they received reflected a great deal of hard work and commitment over the last five years.  We are so pleased with their results and they are thoroughly deserved.”

Congratulations to every individual who has secured such excellent grades today. We are particularly impressed by the achievements of:

Aleksander Parkin who gained nine grade 9s and two grade 8s.

Shirley Prince who received eight grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7.

Precious Boateng who was awarded seven grade 9s, three grade 8s and one grade 7.

Alice Richardson who gained ten grade 9s and one grade 7.

Omotayo Faluyi who achieved seven grade 9s, three grade 8s and one grade 6.

Tobi Aladesiun who was awarded eight grade 9s, one grade 8, one grade 7 and one grade 6.

Angel Mamah who received six grade 9s, four grade 8s and one grade 6.

Seren Rathbone who gained five grade 9s, five grade 8s and one grade 7.

Charmayne Saringan who was awarded four grade 9s, five grade 8s, one grade 6 and one grade 5.

This year, following the cancellation of examinations, grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards. The government is not publishing performance data for any schools or colleges this year due to the varying impact of the pandemic.

Jo-Anne added:  “We are very proud of all our students for making the most of the opportunities offered by St Paul’s, particularly during this challenging time, and are especially pleased that so many of them chose to continue their education in our award-winning Sixth Form.”
