Cards Bring Christmas Cheer To Care Homes

Students at St Paul’s Catholic School have tried to bring some seasonal cheer into the lives of more than 250 local care home residents by writing them Christmas cards containing thoughtful messages.

The initiative was the idea of Miss Ellie Mann, Head of Year 12, who said: “This Advent Post-16 wanted to think of ways to show the local community that they are thinking of them, and this week over 250 residents of Milton Keynes care homes will receive hand-written Christmas cards from our pupils. I would like to thank staff for their card contributions, Miss McIntyre from the Chaplaincy Team, the RE department for offering their lesson time, and the pupils for writing such heartfelt messages.”

The cards will be distributed to five care homes in Milton Keynes giving residents time to open their cards and read their messages before Christmas.
