Increase In Top Grades At GCSE

Edith and her family are delighted with her GCSE results

GCSE students at St. Paul’s Catholic School are celebrating success with GCSE results today.  The school has seen a significant increase in grades, especially in the top grades, 7 and above, this year.  Achievement for pupils within each ability group is extremely positive.

Commenting on the results Jo-Anne Hoarty, Headteacher at St. Paul’s Catholic School, said:  “We are delighted by the significant improvement that these results represent.  The hard work and dedication of students and staff has really paid off.  The success is down to the commitment of students and the fantastic support and guidance that they have had from parents and staff.”

Particular congratulations go to Andrei Sarmiento, Tabitha Tenadu, Maheen Sheikh, Edith Patey, Naomi Osinloye and Yoofi Larbi who all achieved a significant number of Grade 8s and Grade 9s.

Jo-Anne added:  “We are very proud of all our students for making the most of the opportunities offered by St. Paul’s and are especially pleased that so many of them have chosen to continue their education in our award-winning Sixth Form.”

Last week many students at St. Paul’s Catholic School also achieved excellent results in their A-Level examinations, with the majority of them securing places at their first choice universities, including some of the top universities in the UK, and two students gaining places at Cambridge and Oxford.
