Rugby Trip To Saints

St Paul's boys at Northampton Saints

Being the best sportsmen and showing good manners and core values at an Under 13s rugby tournament at MK Rugby Club won a group of Year 7 and 8 players from St Paul’s Catholic School a special visit to Northampton Saints at Franklins Gardens.

Highlights of the day included an access all areas tour of the stadium led by Rugby Development Officer Ben Lawrence and a chance to sit pitch side and watch the Saints first team training.  The boys were thrilled to meet rugby players including England captain, Dylan Hartley and Alex Waller who stopped to chat to them.

The St Paul’s team also enjoyed two coaching sessions with Rugby Development Officer Alan Jones who said:  “They are a great, enthusiastic bunch of lads.”

Our students especially enjoyed the tour and watching the first team play. Speaking about their experience they commented:  “It was inspiring and teaches us to work harder.”
