Catholic School Leadership & Management Training Course

Teacher with pupils

The Diocese of Northampton is offering a six week training programme in Catholic leadership and management.  This is an excellent and valuable opportunity for those wishing to learn more about leadership in Catholic education and what makes Catholic leadership distinctive.  Sessions will be delivered by Cat Manley, Laura Maw and Joanne Pughe and will take place on Thursdays, between 4.00-5.30pm, in the Study Suite at St Paul’s Catholic School on the dates below:

  •  18th October
  • 15th November
  • 10th January
  • 28th March
  • 9th May
  • 13th June

The programme will provide the opportunity to reflect upon Catholic education as a whole, the Catholic school as a community, as well as the evolution of Catholic education. We will explore the significance of Vatican II for Catholic educators and the nature of the Catholic Church and its impact on Catholic education.   Furthermore it will provide the opportunity to define leadership and consider leadership models in a Catholic context as well as to explore the culture, ethos and climate experienced within Catholic schools.  We will consider the concepts of vocation and spiritual leadership and their importance in Catholic education today.

The course will be appropriate for any member of staff whether they are Catholics or not and, particularly, for those who aspire to a leadership role at any level in a Catholic school.  The course is free to anyone currently working in a Catholic school, and costs £30 if you do not currently work in a Catholic School.

You can find more information about the course programme here.
