A Jubilee Year is celebrated by the Church every 25 years and is a special year of forgiveness and reconciliation, i which people are invited to come back into the right relationship with God, with one another, and with all of creation.
The theme for the Jubilee 2025 is Pilgrims of Hope and Pope Francis invited Catholics to renew our hope and discover a vision that can "restore access to the fruits of the earth to everyone". We are also invited to rediscover a spirituality of God's creation in
which we understand ourselves as "pilgrims on the earth" rather than masters of
the world. You can read the school's Jubilee Pledge here.
Supporting St Bernadette's at their Jubilee Pilgrimage
Students who are part of our Ministerium Group helped St Bernadette's at their Jubilee pilgrimage where they lead and developed the prayer stations independently. Jane Zamora, Headteacher at St Bernadette's, said: "We cannot thank you and your students enough! It was extremely generous to spend the whole day supporting our special jubilee pilgrimage. Please do pass on our grateful thanks – you really helped to make the day very special."
