All students at St Paul’s are introduced to the key principles of Catholic Social Teaching in their tutor group time and through collective worships. We have a clear provision of a variety of progressive activities that introduce, engage, reinforce, and consolidate pupils understanding of the key principles and importance of Catholic Social Teaching in their lives. These are planned centrally and shared across the school for consistency.
Our staff are supported in their understanding and application of Catholic Social Teaching through our regular programme of staff briefings. Our praise and reward system recognises when pupils have applied the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and pupils are rewarded with green points, ensuring that our community keeps Catholic Social Teaching at its heart.
The Oscar Romero Award
From September 2025 St Paul’s Catholic School will be participating in The Oscar Romero Award. This will support our school in realising and living the unique calling of a Catholic school to become an evangelising centre. we hope to empower our students and staff to become true agents of the change they want to see in the world by putting their faith into action through the promotion and dedication to Catholic Social teaching.
The Oscar Romero Award will recognise the school’s commitment to Catholic Social Teaching. The Award is available at three levels; Participator, Developer and Innovator.
