Rugby Ladies Are Praised

Two of our ladies’ rugby players have been singled out for praise from Bob Hardman, Community Rugby Coach (Bucks) with England Rugby (RFU).

Sixth Formers Monic and Temi, who are both in Year 13, took part in the recent Tag Festival at Milton Keynes Rugby Club where they refereed and helped to manage the young players.  Bob was so delighted with their help and support that he personally presented letters of praise to both girls.

In his letter he said:  “The day was a great success and this was as a result of the way you conducted yourself whilst refereeing and managing the young players. The feedback from the players and school teachers was extremely positive. The players and teachers commented on how enthusiastic and positive you were when refereeing the games. They stated that you ensured the players had a great experience and asked me to pass on my thanks to you and St Paul’s School.”

As a special thanks from England Rugby, Bob offered that if Monic and Temi would like to attend a training course to develop their coaching and/or refereeing skills he will invite them to one of his future coach education sessions, funded by him as thanks for their help and support.

Speaking about the help he received from our Rugby Development Manager, Dave Manders and the St Paul’s PE Department, Bob said: “Having referees of their ability helping me on the day was a real assistance so big thanks to Dave and the PE team for getting Monic & Temi to this standard.”
