Working at St Paul's

St Paul's is a thriving and successful Catholic school with an excellent reputation.

"St Paul's has a very caring and nurturing working environment where collective gain is encouraged.  It's like working in an extended family."

New member of teaching staff in November 2016.

We are committed to the care of all pupils and strive to challenge and support them to do the best that is possible.  The hard work of our highly motivated, professional and friendly staff continues to lead to higher levels of pupil learning and examination success.  Some of the staff are Catholics, some are practising Christians but all are supportive of the way in which we work. If you are committed to the care and success of pupils and working in a setting where the values of forgiveness, concern for others and respect for each person are important then you share the core values of the staff at St Paul's.  You can read a letter of welcome from our Headteacher here

Support and Training

We regard the development of staff as a high priority.  There is a well-established mentoring system in school for all staff which aims to provide professional and career development as well as identifying training needs.  Many of these needs are met by in-house training programmes.  There is a strong NQT programme which caters for an average of five staff each year.  Support staff have the opportunity to study for a range of NVQs and other professional awards and qualifications.

St Paul’s is a great place to work, and you’ll be amongst friendly and supportive colleagues.  In addition to work-based support, we offer staff a range of benefits including:

  • Excellent pension schemes for teachers and support staff
  • health and wellbeing activities such as yoga, pilates and football
  • social activities and termly staff lunches
  • free car parking on site

You can find out more about our range of benefits here.

Working in Milton Keynes

Milton Keynes is one of the fastest growing, most successful places in the country and offers a great lifestyle.  There’s a wide range of housing within MK and neighbouring villages, a fantastic choice of cultural, retail and leisure destinations, and you’re never more than a few minutes away from parks, nature reserves, woodland and lakes.  There are excellent transport links too, with London and Birmingham just over half an hour away by train.  To find out more about the MK lifestyle click here.
